Where my brain is
May. 31st, 2003 02:51 pmSo, I guess as evidence that A) I am totally immersed in television shows as the primary force of my life, and B) I couldn't imagine that he thought people didn't *know* --
I see this headline at eonline.com: "Dr. Kildare" comes out
and my first thought is "What, on DVD?"
And then I realized.

Or other people, either.
ANd yeah, I thought he was gay too, but then I think that about a lot of actors. (And I think even more are bi.)

We'd like to believe people would still see the movies anyway, but no one's willing to take the risk - at least, not yet. And there's still plenty of evidence that people cannot separate the fantasy from the reality - if a woman finds an actor sexually attractive, and then finds out he's gay, most of the time this becomes an "I don't believe it!" instead of a "whatever" for her. What, his being gay ruins your fantasies? They're fantasies, dammit!
People annoy me.

But in Hollywood, it's like the dark ages.
