First it's pretty hard to surprise me (even without spoilers) nowadays and the fact that it manages on a fairly regular basis is nice. It's got a nice backstory, a good bit of drama and a fucked up lead that's not beyond the realms of reality.

So there's a real b line drama family style thing going on that's interesting. Plus, Kevin Nealon playing it kind of straight. That's always odd.

That was hilarious... the actress playing the housekeeper delivers deadpan punchlines fabulously.

In one of the last two episodes of last season, there's a scene touching on the Iraq war and WMD's between Kevin Nealon's character and the brother-in-law that was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV.

The last time I checked my TiVo, the first new episode for the season of House was actually on the schedule. I don't think I knew how much I missed it until then.

Also, I now have watched "Bukowski" an insane number of times.

Also, fuck CBS! They put NCIS on opposite (at least until House moves later). ARGH! I only have the one feed, too, so I can't even TiVo one and watch the other. *beats head against the desk*

If you could wait a coupla days per week mailing time for NCIS, I'm willing to set up a season pass for it and get you DVD copies of it. I can't stick with House, I'm afraid (but I enjoyed "Bukowski" a lot!), but I can manage NCIS because Gibbs is teh hot. (Yes, I know about the season ender, but seriously...!?!)

Well, you can get a VCR for $25 and a antenna for $15. AFAIK, once you get it set up, you don't actually have to hook it up to the TV to tape something.
