Quietly in his sleep, holding his wife's hand. Age 87.

Wouldn't Donald Regen(sp?) dying a couple of days ago make your three?

Nah. Not in the same stratosphere. ;)

I keep betting on Hope or Hepburn, but they keep not dying. Just to spite me, I'm sure.

Yeah, I'm expecting Bob Hope to drop any time now. He made it to 100, he can stop now.

That guy from JAG died the other day, too. Not quite the same, either, I know (since I can't even tell you his name), but it could be a third.

Trevor Goddard.

I hope he counts, because I always worry that Katharine Hepburn will be the third. And if that happens, I'll just have to bury myself under the covers for a few weeks.

Back when I was in college, our theatre director told us about his encounter with Gregory Peck. Bill (the theatre director) was working as an extra in "Amazing Grace and Chuck, " playing a presidential aide. His job was to sit next to Gregory Peck for the whole day and talk about theatre and old movies while the cameramen set up the shots.

Wow.

Somebody actually PAID him for that.
