Look, SHE'S JUST NOT DEAD. Come on.

1) No show that needs every single pair of eyeballs it can get kills off its most popular character.

2) This is science fiction. Science. Fiction. Even if she is dead, she won't stay dead.

3) The Oracle gave her a figurine of Aurora and told her she'd know what to do with it when the time came. That would be Aurora, Goddess of the Dawn, *who renews herself every morning*. Kara gave Adama the figurine of Aurora so that he could use it as the figurehead for his model ship. Figureheads guide ships. Guide them WHERE THEY NEED TO GO AND KARA THRACE HAS A SPECIAL DESTINY LEOBEN SAID SO IN SEASON ONE ZOMG.

Okay, maybe I need to cut back on the caffeine, and on the reading of the TWOP boards (yes, yes, I know, it's my own damned fault). But seriously -- her special destiny is to get blowed up real good? I don't think so.

If I'm wrong, I will send everyone a dollar. That's right--everyone in the whole world gets a dollar from me if I'm wrong.

You're so on target with this. The "drama rats" on LJ are tiresome, yo.

Dude, it's TWOP. Overreaction is de rigeur. You're obviously not cool if you don't freak the hell out every single time an episode is broadcast.

*says the girl who spoils [livejournal.com profile] carla_scribbles rotten every Sunday night at 11:08, and will probably need three boxes of tissues, some alcohol, and a pillow to cry into for the finale*

Oh, alcohol for the finale, certainly - but only because who the hell knows when we'll get season 4. Are they saying January, now?

That's what I heard.

I'm no fan of waiting, but I am looking forward to a 13-episode season. Maybe they can get back to the tight plotting and relative lack of filler they had in S1.

Hmmmm. The most recent scuttlebutt was that they got a full 22 order, and it just hasn't been announced yet. But then, that could be rumor.

I do wish, in more general terms, that American tv would get with the program of doing shorter seasons in general. British tv has had this for years, and HBO and Showtime have become popular with the same format. But the business model is SO SLOW to change. And because it's so slow, it won't even be caught up when it becomes irrelevant (in the very near future) thanks to webisodes and podcasts and downloading programs right to your computer for a buck.

Idiots.

I'm not even watching the new BSG and I can tell you just from having watched the original series that this is about the time for somebody -- last time it was Apollo, but it could be Starbuck this time -- to die and then be brought back to life mysteriously knowing how to find Earth (or whatever it is they're looking for in the new series -- my ignorance there is fairly total.) That's the story. So, yeah, people should chill.

heeeeee.

I'm with you re: TWOP boards. They hold an evil allure...

She's like the most not dead dead person. :D

I've not even seen the new season yet (but it's downloading!) and I could tell you she's not dead like a very not dead thing. (Which is why I didn't actually care when I got spoilerized for that by clicking on something by mistake a few days ago, I was just like, well that'll be just temporary, then.)

LOL! Yeah, when I saw that flashed back in this week's ep (I missed the fateful one), I thought, "yeah, right." Not gonna be permanent.

Didn't Leoban also tell her that she was going to go to Earth?

This one is pretty much a duh. I'd be willing to chip in 50 cents toward that bet.

Dude, the crystal ship has her. I'm waiting for our generation's Patrick Macnee to come on as their evil rebel... Ooh, Patrick Stewart would rock as Count Iblis.

But, just in case, if you are proved wrong, feel free to mail me a check and I'll make sure that some people get their dollar. ;)

Preach it, sister! :)

I think you're absolutely right. About the thing. Yeah.

I mean. Come on. Srsly. Anyone who thinks she's really most sincerely dead doesn't know how to watch tv. Please go back to school and figure out story arcs, foreshadowing, and how dying pointlessly doesn't really match up with "special destiny".
