Well. That was... something. I guess.

I know people are saying that this is jump-the-shark time, but I guess I'm willing to tune in to the season premiere (if I'm not dead by then) and see if they stick the landing. At least it appears that the two original driving forces of the show -- 1) Cylons attack humans, and 2) humans want to find Earth -- are back on track for Season 4. I could have done without the Cylon sing-along, but I'm not convinced that those guys *are* Cylons, for a variety of reasons I have to sort of ponder and tease out.

If I had been prosecuting counsel, I would have objected to Lee's testimony on the grounds of Emmy Reel. But then, nothing in the trial remotely resembled any form of our legal system anyway, so....

Finally: Ron Moore, you stole a big bag of whatever it was they were smoking on New Caprica, cut it with some high-grade chamalla, baked it into a giant pie of WTF, and ate it all yourself, didn't you.

DIDN'T YOU.

Yeah, we know who is *really* back on the chamalla.

I'm slow. I had to think "but who is Emmy Reel?" -- and then I got it. Sleep deprived or just plain sick.

I want them to find earth, and not in a 2-hour post cancellation special event movie. So, I'm still on board. Or just not ready to let go.

I'm reserving judgment until the season opener. It's either the awesomest season ender ever, or the biggest shark-jumping of all time. The next season will tell us which.

I'm also not sure they're cylons. My theory is that if they're not cylons, it's somehow related to the nebula. The music gets stronger the closer they get to the nebula, so I'm thinking this may be the next clue. Maybe the four of them have the right DNA to hear the signal and they'll have to work to interpret it in secret because they believe they're cylons.

Well, I certainly hope that they're going on something more than a mutual earworm when they say they're all cylons. I'm hoping they all heard the song and then a switch inside really DID flip, showing them what they are.

Otherwise...I mean, if that's the bar they've set, *I'M* a cylon.

AARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!

I forgot! I have no interest in BSG myself; I tape it for a friend who doesn't get SciFi. Ever since they moved it to Sunday, I have the worst time remembering it.

Questions -- if my friend sees up to last week, is that enough of a closure, or will it be a cliffhanger for her? (I'm assuming they'll show this ep again to lead into the fourth season.)

If the answer is, "OMG, she's got to see this one!!!" -- did you tape it, and could you copy it for me? I'll be happy to pay for the tape and postage.

There's absolutely no way your friend could watch last week and be satisfied - this is the second half of a two-parter concerning the trial of Baltar.

HOWEVER - SciFi will be repeating this episode on March 27 (Tuesday night) at 11pm Eastern. So check your schedule and see if you can get it then!

Bless you; thank you. Unfortunately, I lose TV access tomorrow. But I think my sis gets SciFi; I try to remember to call her tomorrow.

I heard "there's just too much confusion," turned to N and asked just when did Zimmy jump dimensions...

And that was the least of the WTF moments, if you ask me. And I'll have a list of questions tomorrow, not the least of which is "who fathered Tyrol's baby?" if there's been such a folderol about makin' babeees for at least two years. Remember that? Remember when the show made an IOTA OF FUCKING SENSE?

sorry sorry... I'm going to bed now.

Well. Considering there's already ONE cylon/human hybrid, I'm not dismissing the idea that he is indeed the father, which I think makes things interesting for lots of stuff. But I won't discount the other options either.

Though you'd think the doc might've noticed, unless the only differences come with very close observation. Unless the doc is the last remaining cylon, which would be awesome, but totally not inline with whatserface's reaction to seeing whoever it was.

Yeah -- Tigh said that line and I said "Oh, no, they didn't." And then they DID. And I'm just... I'm sort of half indignant and half laughing my ass off. I hadn't realized until this ep just how thoroughly I've stopped taking the show seriously.

Ron's been smoking SO MUCH chamalla/crack/opium.

But honestly, as I mentioned to [livejournal.com profile] carla_scribbles in my post-finale squee, I'm still stuck on the fact that I was RIGHT. I called it, right down to "All Along the Watchtower". That has NEVER happened. I'm usually completely wrong when I predict finales - and I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

HA!

I honestly don't know what to think. At all. It's either going to be interesting or the lamest thing in the history of lame things, and I won't know until I see the first episode of Season 4. But I don't think Tyrol, Anders, Tori, and Tigh are Cylons either.

Emmy Reel! You for the win, as usual.

I have...vague thoughts about this episode, but I think my head needs to stop spinning first.
