tzikeh: (life on mars - giggles - sam - gene)
[personal profile] tzikeh

I tried to start up a community for pan-fandom cat-macro-like images and it was made of FAIL, so I was all "woe" and then promptly forgot about it. So I've just been making macros on my own and emailing them to a few people. Then [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn said "Hi you have a livejournal post them there duh", which, headdesk.

SO.

I've never seen a single episode of Life on Mars, but these crack me up. (*g*)

Ooooh - would you like some candy, little girl?

I'm glad they crack you up! And I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE MOVING!

I have a hard time believing it too, especially after spending the morning poking helplessly through the INCREDIBLE MOUNTAINS OF CRAP in my basement. I just ... gahhhh. HALP.

Oh, fun!!

So... why do you consider the comm a failure? Is it just because people aren't using it? If so, doesn't you not using it, when you can, compound the problem? If you posted 'em there, it would remind others, and there might be more? Particularly if you posted to your own that you'd posted 'em there?

I did post some of my fan macros here, and then provide a link to the comm, in two separate posts back when I started the comm. It just never took. *shrug* I think probably because I set it up to be pan-fandom, and oftentimes that's just not what people are looking for anymore on lj fandom -- witness [livejournal.com profile] ihasatardis. The big fandoms will probably take after ihasatardis and make their own macro comms; the small fandoms will either not have any, or just integrate macro-posting into their main comms.

It's no big. It looked good on paper! ;)
