Why does the toilet wait until it's 3am before it "suddenly" needs plunging?

you could have our toilet - it now needs plunging after every use. the plumbers have no idea what is up with it (but are very happy to take our money ). And it sounds like it is possessed. or as one fan put it: "much ado about nothing."

The same reason a bathtub/shower drain will generally clog only when you have guests staying over.
