Reaper dropped in the ratings from its debut to the second episode. If you think this show deserves the chance to find its audience and not get yanked right away, contact the CW *now*. Don't wait til they pull the plug and hope for a "Save Reaper" campaign.

You can email them at feedback@CWTV.com, but actual letters are taken more seriously.

I just watched the pilot and LOVED it. I know you said that the ratings dropped, but do you know if they were bad overall, or just in relation to the pilot? Just curious. Hopefully this one sticks around. I'll have to go voice my support over at the CW site or something.

pretty bad, actually. I mean, it's up against House, for crying out loud.

I just had a chat with the CW mod of the lounge; he reports directly to the CW. He says that the more people post over there and talk about the show, the more the CW likes it. Traffic in the Reaper lounge has picked up, which shows interest, and he said that bringing in new people and keeping conversations going by posting interesting stuff is a big help. And that telling *ALL* your friends to watch is a plus as well.

I can't write up lots of stuff until about Wednesday thanks to studying and stuff, but I intend to make several posts talking about scripts and performances and so forth when I have time. I suggest heading over and signing up.

It could be worse. The show pulled a 1.3 in 18-49 this week, which is about on par with the 06-07 averages of One Tree Hill and Supernatural, both of which are still kicking. And FWIW, I'd lay good money on the CW not pulling anything for at least another two weeks, so there's probably a decent amount of time for you guys to get those letters in.

It did pull that, but it was a large drop-off from the premiere, which is where the worry comes from. And letters can only help. ;)

Drop-offs have been pretty across the board thus far this season (Reaper is about mid-pack for 18-49 drop-off), which makes me wonder how much the numbers will change when the DVR figures come in. The show could get a decent boost from those numbers.

On an only semi-related note, is the quote in your icon actually from the show? (I missed ep 2.)

The bad ratings this week may be a blip in the data. Not only was it up against House but it was also up against the season finale of Eureka (which probably shares a lot of the same viewers). Hopefully the ratngs will be better next week.

It's possible, but the CW Mod I spoke with said that it's a good idea to get people writing letters and posting in the lounge - the more traffic picks up in the lounge, the more the CW bigwigs pay attention.
