So, err... yeah. Doctor Who and Yuletide (not related)

I watched all of the new Doctor Who (I keep wanting to sing "The New Who Revue" to the tune of "The New Zoo Revue", which maybe five people on my flist will know) in a big rush. I had been intending to watch it for about, oh, two years now--shrift gave me DVD-Rs of the first season and the first X-Mas special; I watched the pilot, and the second episode, and then kinda did other things for a year (I'm not kidding; I had three Netflix DVDs sitting on top of my DVD player for eight months). When I heard that John Simm was playing The Master, I had to pound down the Who so I could see his performance.

Anyway, long story... not quite short, but not as long as it could be, I fell hard for Ten/Rose. Yes, oh yes I did, and I'm still there. And I come to you, o flist (and now I'm in Hamlet: "List, list, O, flist!"), for story recommendations. Fluff is fine, sex is of the awesome, and reunion is of the super-awesome. Angst is great, if there is a complete lack of it by the end. Yes, I prefer happy endings in this particular storyline. You who know me well know that I have absolutely zero problem with "rocks fall; everyone dies" in tv shows or books or movies if it serves the story, which puts me in the distinct minority of Americans (like I'm not already there twelve ways to Sunday already)--though this does not mean I will not continue to shout "NO, TIMMY, DON'T PICK UP THE PHONE!" *g* Kill' em all if that's what needs to be done, but please, make an exception for Ten and Rose.

I don't much care for marriage stories (wow so meaningless and utterly impossible what with the whole alien thing and imagine guests asking the groom "so, what do you do?") and curtains and babies, but use your judgment. If those things happen in a story that KICKS ASS, by all means rec it. The worst that can happen is I use my "back" button. Oh, er--if this pairing is not your thing at all, but you know someone who loves it, could you send them over to help out? I... it... my name is tzikeh, and I'm a Ten/Rose-aholic.

In other news, have you heard that Yuletide is here? I have, and it reminded the überpatheticator who is me that I have not yet sent thank-you notes to the people who commented on my stories from last Yuletide. THEREFORE, I solemnly pledge that I will open my Yuletide comments mail folder today, and answer every single one of you before I sign up for the challenge tonight. Heck, I never even posted "Hey, I wrote X and Y this year" at all, and it's pointless to do it now because the archive gets sealed up tight tomorrow! So, please, if you remember, someone poke me after January 1 and remind me to reveal *last* year's stories along with this year's story (or stories - yay pinch-hitting!).

So, err... yeah.

I have been looking for Ten-Rose that I like for a long time, and haven't even gotten close, sadly. There are some lovely (and hot) stories out there, but nothing that sells me on him making this choice at this time. Yes, I have Doctor/Companion issues. (: Comes of getting all pre-teen fangirl on Four when I was a kid. I just...need a lot of Timelordly angsty buildup. Let me know if you find anything good!

BTW, I am making an all-squee, all the time Ten-Rose vid within the next year. It will include a MAGICAL CUPCAKE.

I was just talking about the pre-teen Doctor Who fangirl issue with fan_eunice--it seems to hang on with everything its got to people who started watching DW when they were young. Since I started as a fully-grown fan, I'm like WHERE THE HELL IS THE DAMNED PORN. (Not exclusively, but you know what I mean.)

I'd love links to any lovely and hot stories out there even if they don't sell you; they might sell me. ;)

I think I'm high, I was *sure* it was you I had the whole conversation with about how the dynamics of B/A could be interesting and hot if they got to know each other again as adults post series...which is what tipped me over the edge into multi and threesome shipping involving them. Now I don't know who to blame!
