So, as Dexter said,

OH HOLY CHRIST ON ROLLERBLADES! I CAN'T BREATHE! WTF IS GOING TO HAPPEN!! I NEED DEXTER ICONS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Oh God... I'm... I...

I *just* watched it. Holy what - it with the thing - and the OTHER thing! NOOOOOOOEEEEESSS. And LILA? WE ARE SO FUCKED!

OMG what ... three episodes left. How ... he can't REALLY kill Doakes, can he? I mean, he can't! But he can't go to jail and be executed (I think they've been renewed?) -- but Doakes, alive, will have no choice but to bring him down! But in the preview - oh, wait - some of you don't watch previews, right? I won't say. OMG! Lila is a REAL PROBLEM. If someone has to die, my bet is on Lila. She'll cross a line which will allow Dexter to off her. Doakes... I don't know. I just don't know. I can't see Dexter killing him. I can't see Dexter *not* killing him. NO WAY OUT. Like Nicodemus Legend when surrounded by dwarfs.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

So, er, I'm on AIM and other chat programs if anyone else wants to talk about this episode.

I haven't seen the preview, but I have a really hard time to imagine a way out for Dexter too. Unless Doakes is somehow killed without Dexter murdering him, but that would be a kind of cheap and too convenient solution. It's really an evil cliffhanger.

it is a really, REALLY evil cliffhanger. And I *have* seen the previews, and ... it doesn't really tell you anything except that it's going to CONTINUE TO KILL ME.

I think Doakes has more to worry about than just Dexter. My hunch? The coke dealers find him.

But Dexter! I didn't watch the teaser (can't find it on Showtime's site) but did watch the 2 clips from 10 and ack! *flails*

It got renewed, so, that's something, right?

Seriously, how am I supposed to wait a year or more for season 3 when this is the only thing I'm watching right now? Stupid lack of decent tv shows.

I AM DYING. OR POSSIBLY DEAD ALREADY. DYING.

WHEN AM I COMING OVER? I EMAILED YOU.

I AM APPARENTLY INCAPABLE OF NOT SCREAMING ON THIS TOPIC.

I DON'T KNOW WHEN. LET ME LOOK AT MY CALENDAR. I, TOO, CANNOT RESIST SCREAMING ABOUT DEXTER.

All I can think is that some of Doakes' old kills may make him fair game for Dexter. After all, they're investigating his past, and we know he has executed at least one person, although his kill last season was as justified as one of Dexter's.

I knew they'd pick Doakes as prime suspect, but I didn't expect all this to happen so fast. And have we heard everything about Harry yet?

Uhm. Hi. and yes. God, it was so. so. so satisfying.

Every time I watch Dexter I marvel, because they manage to do it. everything. so RIGHT. There aren't any fumbles or awkward things I need to handwave away, and each time I start to lapse and think, okay...I get where this is going, I've seen something like this before--STUFF HAPPENS where no other show would have had to the balls to do.

Re: Doakes, I thought Dexter was in a perfect position, but that might be because my mind is glossing over the details. Dexter has a perfect alibi for the feds if they're brought in: Doakes could have kidnapped him, used his boat, taken him to the killing bunker where Dexter managed to get away; he has the cuffs and wounds to prove it. Doakes is the one who's fucked: no one knew of his suspicions of Dexter, and he's at the location of a secret hideout where the Butcher has just finished his killing, and the only person at the station who's pulling for him is La Guerta. =/ Not looking too good for him.
