Why is every livejournal link I click on defaulting to "?format=light" ? I had my preferences set as "style=mine". Wha-happen?

You using Firefox? I would guess an add-on/extension/GM script, possibly one that just updated or that you managed to forget you installed between restarts (I have totally done that second one.)

I'm using Firefox, so likely I just updated something and it changed. Where do I go to find out how to undo it?

Tools->Add-Ons

And then look for likely culprits.

If you have GreaseMonkey installed, then you might have added a script. That's likely under Tools->GreaseMonkey->Manage UserScripts

Or if you use Livejournal Addons and have "follow all links in light format" set.

aha! I knew that there's been a recent change to LJ Hook that was causing confusion but I could not for the life of me remember what the other usual script was.

But, hey, at least I was teaching tzikeh to fish ;) No, no, it wasn't that I didn't actually know the answer.

Hey, I've got the same thing going on - I wondered what that was! And I use Firefox with LJ add-ons, too.

I might leave it like this, it's very legible.
