A Metaquotes Of Our Own

slodwick, in her infinite wisdom, has created overheardfandom, which will be like metaquotes, but only for fandom-related quotage. I like metaquotes, but I think I will love overheardfandom. Why?
1) Fandom.
2) The Funny.
3) The default community icon.
4) Their definition of fandom is both broad enough and narrow enough to make most of us happy. I suppose what constitutes "fandom" will be tested as the community grows and matures, but right now, me likey.
5) Did I mention fandom? And, more importantly personally:
6) I've often wanted to post something to metaquotes and thought, "Eh, there are a bunch of whiners about 'fandom' posts over there, and it's probably only *really* funny if you're in fandom, so...."

Go forth, check out the info rules (pretty much exactly like metaquotes, except, you know, FANDOM), and then go forth! Quote away! Or, if not, make some fuckin' lj posts so I can quote you in overheardfandom!
