This is a recording of Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern. She didn’t know that she was being recorded (apparently this was a gathering of about fifty people), and she goes on a rant about how homosexuality is a bigger threat to the U.S. than terrorism. She quotes "studies" (unnamed, naturally) which "prove" that any society which allows for homosexuality collapses within decades. Also, the gays are going after our two-year-olds.

She sits on Oklahoma's Education Committee.

That is so crazy. Well, I guess if you don't find Islam in itself all that threatening, it doesn't say much to claim homosexuality was a bigger threat, though I guess that's not what she meant. Not to mention that some things deserve to collapse and everybody would be better off without them, like say patriarchy. I'm all for collapsing patriarchy... it would be really cool if homosexuality could do that, unfortunately I'm not that optimistic. :/

Your offensive hate speech has been heard around the country. It's been passed around, and every time it's heard, people stare in horror and shock at what they're hearing.

The sad thing is, you're entitled to hate whomever you want...but you're not entitled to spew lies about a section of the population whose sexual preferences are not your own. And as for that offensive language about religions presumably not your own -- well, sister, you're like a festering sore on the toe of America. You, madam, are the "cancerous toe." You need to be excised from public office, and presumably this vile performance will lead to your swift removal from office.

Before you start spouting nonsense about "gay agendas" and "homosexuals targeting two year olds," try learning the truth, because your ignorance is simply staggering. Educate yourself before you mis-educate our youngsters.

And lest you think this email is part of some gay conspiracy, or that I'm one of those Muslims you so revile, know that I am a happily heterosexual woman in my fifties, of a Judeo-Christian background, who has moderate political views and has been known to vote Republican. You, on the other hand, are an embarrassment to your fine state. I pity your citizens, to have to deal with a hate-spewing ignoramus like you.
