Doctor Who finale - no real thoughts posted here, only shallow ones

I'm posting this one thing for people who like Ten and Rose. I tried to come up with a way to say this without being remotely spoilery, but this is the best I can do. ETA: Yes, of course send other Ten/Rose fans by.



The kiss scene got short shrift; if they'd used more of what they shot, it wouldn't have seemed like Human!Ten was just along for the ride, because boy *howdy* he was rather actively involved! :D Here's some footage from the Confidential. For those who don't watch the Confidentials and aren't used to the fact that they're full of pop music for some mysterious reason, please ignore their lame attempt of adding to the footage by using "Long Distance" as a faux soundtrack.

Poor Torchwood indeed. I pity the aliens that come near Earth now.

Also. Jackie's reaction must be deeply epic. And children! Tiny mostly human with half-Timelord brains children. And--I just keep giggling hysterically and it is so epically cute.

Oh God - they'll have to home-school them because otherwise their teachers will be like WTF are your children *ON* about. Starting right from pre-school. Because you know Ten will be teaching them all kinds of things we poor Earthlings don't know - and some things we'd never need to know and have nothing to do with Earth lives as we live them.

They'd definitely be getting little notes on the report cards like "So-and-so has a *very* active imagination."

It reminds me in a completely-not-like-this-except-it-is way of Denis Leary's story about his son's Kindergarten teacher contacting him, and saying "Your son was singing a song with several curse words in it today. Do you know about this?" And Leary saying "Know it? I fucking *wrote* it!"

This will be awesome. Ten will stay home and write the Harry Potter novels and look after the children and Rose will work at Torchwood and call her husband "Doctor" and everyone in the neighborhood will like them, but will think them *very* eccentric and they will enjoy it immensely. \o/

But if I *was* going to go angsty...well. He's the Doctor Destroyer of Worlds and she's Bad Wolf. Bring on a nice alien invasion and I would have a very good time with them. Harriet Jones might not seem quite so bad.

I can totally see him like Caractacus Potts, this wonderfully sweet man who is a lovely neighbor who's always happy to see anyone who drops by. If only he would stop blowing things up all the time....
