D stands for Double Decade
Nov. 19th, 2008 12:25 pmIt was twenty years ago today... well, twenty years plus ten days ago. But twenty years ago, the first issue of Neil Gaiman's Sandman hit the stands.
Wow. I'm old. Not as old as some on my flist, but a good deal older than most.
Bonus track: Jonathan Coulton surprises his audience at a concert in Manchester by bringing Neil Gaiman on stage to sing "Creepy Doll" with him. That version has the awesome intro with the surprise, but you can't really see Gaiman, though you can hear him. This version starts after Gaiman has taken the stage, so doesn't include the first verse, but you can see him (and watch him play the creepy tambourine!).
