Glad you managed to quadruple-cross House--about time somebody did. Too bad I couldn't care less if either or both of you died in a fire, at this point. Your storylines are ludicrious and you have no chemistry. At all.

Other than Battlestar Galactica, is there anything currently airing that's good? And I mean, you know, good, not "well, it's pleasant enough if you've finished all the books you own that you've wanted to read, and the bathroom doesn't need cleaning."

When does Mad Men come back?

I've been missing Mad Men a ton too. Of course this may be because John Hamm is on 30 Rock (which is pretty good if you're into it) being all cute. But the great quality would be wonderful too.

I disagree with kirbyfest's assessment: There's definitely humor to Burn Notice, but that doesn't mean it's not srs. It's not a soap opera, however, so if that's what you really want, it isn't the show you're looking for.

Sarah Connor Chronicles? The pilot is unimpressive, but the show gets better quickly during the first season. And the second half of Season 2 just started off with a bang on Friday. The show's uneven, but when it's on, it's ON. Not to mention the fact that it's far from lacking in strong female characters.

If you're looking for something serious, I second Friday Night Lights. I hate football, and I hate Texas, and I really firmly believe that S1 of that show is among the best television ever made. S2, not so much, but I'm loving what I've seen of S3 thus far (all of it already aired on DirectTV, but it's all re-airing on NBC at the moment).

I'll second (or third, or fourth) the recommendation of Friday Night Lights. In my opinion, it's the best character development since Buffy. In fact, the plotlines and settings are just window-dressing for the characters, who shine even in iffier plots (which was really just in S2 -- S3 is as good as S1, which I, like others, thought was as close to a perfect season of television as you can get).

It has one of the most realistic marriages ever portrayed on television, and a strong, righteous female character in Tami Taylor.

And it's got Taylor Kitsch. *points to icon*

I adore Friday Night Lights (and the first 2 seasons are available on dvd!), and I'm madly enamored of Lost though that's about as much an investment of time right now as it would be to be starting BSG from scratch. *g* Fringe is imperfect but quite charming.

i was so unbelievably bored and unimpressed with last nights ep that i found my self desperately looking for a new show. thankfully i have gotten into BSG and am only at the end of season 2 so i have lots to catch up on. i have yet to give up on house completely (much like i did with heroes) but we'll see. if they keep up with the repetitive slop they are hucking at the television you never know. what will i do when BSG runs out?!?!

but as a tid bit of canadian-ness i definitely suggest "flash point" set unabashedly in Toronto and oh so Canadian. its a fun cop show that is nice to watch and has its own bit of intensity
