Daylight Savings Time reminder; Twitter poll

As the subject probably already has you muttering sounds of hatred, I doubt I need to write it out. Still -- Sunday marks the end beginning of Daylight Savings Time (thanks for the correction, starwatcher307), so don't forget to "Spring ahead" (kill me) one hour. This will ensure that by the time you wake up, the coffee shop will already be sold out of the Sunday New York Times.

Heh. I've got the Twitter thing running in Twitterific. I still don't particularly like it, but (a) I have observed the things that NASA is doing, which will enable me to speak semi-knowledgeably at the meeting I have to go to about it next week, and. Um. There is no (b).

I think they only just announced the film the other day. It won't be a flat-out big-budget film, but it looks like the entire original cast will be in it, and it won't just be a "film of the stage play" either.

I used twitter way more when you could get real-time updates via jabber/aim. And the Canadian shortcode doesn't work anymore, so I can't get it on my phone. So I actually almost never check it anymore :( One of these days I'll organize a workaround.

Yeah, because I am cranky and old-skool that way, I am still snarly about the loss of twitter-by-IM. But I'm even more snarly that they spent, what six *months* afterwards saying "we're working on getting IM back up right away!!"

There are other ways to get real-time updates - TwitterFox does that for me (of course, you have to be on Firefox for that to work) - and I know there are others.

Speaking of, how goes the QI-a-thon? Many of the QI-ers are on Twitter, including Alan Davies, Rob Brydon, and Phill Jupitus, and the QI elves have their own twitter called qikipedia, which twitters Quite Interesting factoids every day.
