I have installed the delicious buttons in my Firefox bar thingy up top next to the URL field. When I hit "tag" on any given page, from what I understand from everyone else, I should get, among other things, a list of *my tags* so that I can just click on the ones I want.

I get a list of people in my delicious network I can send the link to, and "popular tags", and the fields to fill in names and notes, but my tags do not appear.

Halp?

I don't know how helpful this is, but here is what my tag box looks like when I hit the tag button:

I just start to entering the tag I want, on the tag line, and it pops up a list of the tags I've already gotten in my account to see if it's one I want to use.

I think you're using Windows? The ones I've seen on Mac have a complete list of your tags sitting under the tag field, so you can just click on them, the way you could click on the people in your network. Instead of trying to remember scores of tags, it just puts them in front of you.

The Windows version at least is "smart" about your tags and only gives you ones that it thinks will apply to the page you're tagging. No clue if the same is true of the Mac version.

Yes, it does that--it gives common tags used on that page, etc. But not *my* tags. I want *my* tags, dammit!

No, that's what I meant. It does the same thing with your tags that it does with common tags.

Okay, then I'm confused - if you look at gweneiriol's screen cap up there, I don't see her tags anywhere at all. Are you talking about something else?

Here:

Where it says "Recommended Tags:" those are mine. Sometimes it doesn't suggest any, but most times it finds at least something it thinks will apply. In this case, from what I know of the story, it's got them all right. *g*

HEEE!

Okay, hm. I will keep researching. Thanks for the visual. I just *know* I've seen an example where all of the person's tags appear...

Yes I'm using Windows and the Mac version sounds much, much more convenient! Sorry I couldn't help!

Well, it would be, if it did what I want it to do! Stupid things not doing what I want them to do.

I'm having the same issue. I *used* to see my own tags as well, but they stopped appearing out of the blue.

I have a different computer setup but also use the delicious extension. I don't have a complete tag list, but an autocomplete help and the suggestions from mine and from popular tags. But then with over four thousand different tags I wouldn't want a list.

Hmm, I am running the same version of Firefox and OSX and I get all my tags in the box. Also running version 2.1.018 of the add-on. Maybe try the Preferences for the add-on? Not sure if the different modes change anything?

I'm running 2.1.018 as well -- looked at the Prefs and there's just nothing that's there that looks like it would change anything. Are you in classic mode?

At least I know I wasn't hallucinating about seeing all the tags available!!

Oh - would you be willing to send me a screen-cap of your Add a Bookmark window, showing your tags (you can black stuff out if it's private) so that I can send it to Delicious tech support to show them what I'm talking about?

I'm using pretty much everything you are, but I don't get them in a separate area below or anything, but when I start typing in the 'tags' field it does the whatchamalicalit smart thing - I type 'a' and it gives me a list of all my tags starting with 'a'.

(Sorry, first thing in the morning for me.)

Yeah - that's what I get - autotype. But if you look at aworldinside's answer, she has what I'm looking for.

Bleh!

No, I get the recommended tags sometimes including the similar ones from my history, same as I get on the site's page to add a bookmark, but never all of them at once. I'm curious now.
