Though Jesus, for a comedian, HL sure is wound up tight!

He's renowned for being a perfectionist who is harder on himself than anyone is hard on anyone ever. While the cast loves him, they're often put in a position of having to leave him alone while he hates on himself after a scene. Likely his first thought was that they'd just ruined a take for no good reason. He seemed to ease up a little afterwards

Also, it's pretty much a cliche that comedians are often the most serious people in real life.
