I have yet to see it (planning on Wed with my daughter) so I have no joyful reactions as of yet.

BUT.

The icon is nicely done. I can at least say that. :D

The icon is a total kludge. I didn't want to buy the font, so I went to the page that shows what it looked like, took a screen cap with Grab, pulled it into Photoshop, chopped it up into the individual letters and numbers I needed, cut the serifs off of the "1"s, made a dash by copy-layering the line in the capital G, then capping and cropping the poster image, changing the canvas size w/black underlayer, pulling the kludged OMG-1701 over, and then inverting it so that it read white.

Yeah, I'm a little crazy.

Crazy or no, it worked. I'd have never known the difference; your kerning looks spot-on.

Curious: did you have to upload this icon to LJ, or did it carry over from the DW post?

I had to upload it to lj first, and then upload it to dw making sure the keywords were exactly the same at dw as they are at lj. Then I posted at dw, and it carried over to the lj post.

I admit, I walked into the theater just hoping it wouldn't suck -- before the credits rolled, I was all sniffly and totally hooked. Damn, it was fun. I'm actually planning on going a second time and the last time I saw a movie twice in the theater was Fellowship of the Ring. It's been a long, long time since I've been so fangirly over anything!
