A very friendly beagle has been found wandering in the Truman Square area in Uptown Chicago. It's well-groomed and obviously someone's pet. A neighbor has taken it in for the day to await a call from the owner, so if you're missing your furry friend, please call 773-275-7675.

This is why my dog has two phone numbers on her at all times. (I still need to get her chipped -- but since the shelters here all use different chip technology, I am waiting to see if they sort themselves out or get universal scanners. No dice yet.)

I hope the owner turns up. Poor lost pup!
