I am SO GLAD I waited for the WWDC.

Since my laptop was stolen, this has been the longest I've gone without a laptop since 1995. In fact, I don't think I've ever been *without* a laptop since 1995. Still, I put off buying one until after this week, which was VERY DIFFICULT, because I figured something interesting might be announced at the WWDC.

I WAS NOT WRONG.

As of yesterday, for a Mac laptop, you had a choice of a MacBook (starting at $999) or MacBook Pro (starting at $1,999).

As of today, you can get a MacBook Pro for $1,200.

I would snap the 13" macbook pro up in a heartbeat if my 15" were a year or so older. That is excellent! Great form factor and fantastic price. Have you ordered it yet? :)

Still waiting on a netbook type device from them...

you will be blown away by the speed of the intel dual core jobbies now in the macbooks/pros. I was amazed at my macbook pro compared to my old g4 ibook and the g4/g4 imacs at the college. It runs rings around everything :)
