I knew of Apple when I was a kid, of course, and had played about with the Apple ][e from time to time, but *my* first Apple was the Mac. Then I had a Mac Plus... then it went wonky off-brand to the Centris there for a while, then a G4 tower, and then a laptop.

But after the laptops, they fumbled around (anyone remember the Cube?). We figured they were out of good ideas, and it looked like the years-long run of innovation were at an end.

Then:

A complete re-branding of product brought all of the faithful back to the fold, *plus* drew the attention of a large, new audience, wholly rejuvenating the entire franchise.

Her name... is Lens Flare.
