tzikeh: (sherlock - murder - yay)

Sherlock and John meet at 221B at 7pm. Lestrade shows up. Sherlock and John leave the flat within about 10-15 minutes after arriving and go to the crime scene. Figure arriving at the crime scene at maybe 8pm, tops. After spending maybe fifteen minutes there, Sherlock takes off. John, on his way back to Baker Street, is "called" to meet Mycroft. Sherlock texts him to come back to the flat. When he gets there, Sherlock is already there, and says it took him less than an hour to find the pink case, which means it took less than an hour for John to leave the crime scene, meet with Mycroft, and return to Baker Street. Let's call it 9:40pm. Sherlock then has John text the murderer to set up the stake-out point within sight of a restaurant he obviously often frequents. They arrive at, say, 10pm. Sherlock and John chase the taxi through London, figure out that the passenger is not the killer, return to 221B, and find Lestrade overseeing the drugs bust. Let's say 11:00 to be generous. The cabbie shows up, maybe 10 minutes after John and Sherlock find the drugs bust in progress, and takes Sherlock away to have him kill himself. John follows via the phone's GPS, and shoots the cabbie. Sherlock then tells John they can have Chinese food at a place on Baker Street that stays open until 2am. Best guess, it's about midnight.

The whole adventure takes place between them seeing the flat at 7pm, and John and Sherlock going for Chinese food at midnight. It all happens in five hours.

YOU GUYS. HOW DID I MISS THIS. AWESOME WRITING IS AWESOME.

I thought they met at Baker Street for the first time at 7am, the next morning. I'd need to rewatch to find the wording. (Whoa)

Either way, they know each other somewhere between, what, 14 and 30 hours before JOHN SHOOTS SOMEONE FOR SHERLOCK!

*cough*

Drat, he says "We'll meet there tomorrow evening, seven o'clock." They leave for the crime scene about 10-15 minutes after getting to the flat, grab a cab, and by the time they get to the crime scene, it's dark out.

I actually haven't watched yet -- but thank you! I'm sooo far behind in watching White Collar. :( I think I'm saving them up. Just haven't been able to focus on it yet this season. ETA: And I should say, I fully intended to watch the clip, just haven't really had time yet. :D You are sweet to think of me.

I'll say this for the clip -- it's just a preview of Tuesday's episode, and it will give you a nice jolt of Peter -- and it might inspire you to marathon WC soon. :D

John has mysteriously appearing pasta at the restaurant (i.e., I think there's a cut in there that is supposed to denote more time passing than we realize), so that plus the chase plus returning to Baker Street might have to be more than an hour. But that's probably not enough to throw the time line totally out of wack - just another half hour or so. I figured the 2am comment meant it was after midnight at the very least, but that's within the acceptable wiggle room parameters.

I know that I am totally ready to kill to protect random people I meet within one evening! Nothing special going on there. ;)

I'm kind of loving how very epic that makes them. No settling in period for them, just murder and adventure!
