Everyone spells it differently because there is no correct spelling, or even officially agreed-upon spelling in English. It's a transliteration from a language that uses a different alphabet, in which it can be spelled with vowels ( חֲנֻכָּה ) or without vowels ( חנוכה ). The best we can do is phonetic approximation.

You *really* don't have to buy me things. I am so appreciative, but it's not necessary.

Well, yay! We already own Casino Royale, and have no interest in Mad Men, but I got one movie on Aunt Do's wishlist anyway and one movie off Bill's wishlist, so I figure I made out good. Thank you for the link! :)
