WE: I'm looking at the site - you took out all the fill-in-the-blank questions I had.

me: {staying calm} Yes, we talked about this. You can't have a fill-in-the-blank question on a web quiz because there's no way to check if the answer is right.

WE: Oh, well, the questions aren't part of the quizzes.

me: Uh - yes, they were in the quizzes.

WE: Oh, yeah, okay - well, they were on the same page as the quiz, but they don't have to be part of the quiz!

me: {staying calm again} Then... why do you want them?

WE: Well, for the kids to have something to type in.

me: {not murdering people} Okay, where would you like the answers to go?

WE: {As if to a small child} In the blanks.

me: {still not murdering people} Where would you like the answers to go, once the kid fills it in. Do you want it to be emailed to you? What are you going to do with the answers?

WE: It has to go somewhere? Can't it just be a fill-in-the-blanks?

me: {giving up until such time as a new language can be invented to facilitate communication between lowly me and lofty Web Experts} Sure.

I would like to officially second this motion.

Also, I suggest you follow each question with the home phone number of a Web Expert, which the children can call to give their answers.
