I think I must be, or at least the pilot was. I was in Florida, and last night my flight to NY for this morning was cancelled. But I was rerouted through Atlanta, changed flights and came into La Guardia no worse for wear exept for a bit more mileage running through the Atlanta airport between terminals. I still don't understand why flights Florida to NY were cancelled, but the Atlanta/NY flights went on time, and landed in such crappy weather. We landed in Georgia in a fog bank so thick we thought we were still in the air and suddenly we touched down. Here there's an ice storm and it's treacherous as fuck. But we went through. I completely thought I'd be stranded in Atlanta. I guess Delta might actually have a game plan after all.

We're getting our third day off work tomorrow. This is unheard of. I was blithely going about my evening, planning on work tomorrow, and I hadn't even bothered to check to confirm, because of course we'd be back to work! Only we aren't!

Yeah-- the U is closed for the second straight day -- I'm off tomorrow too. Unheard of. And Chicago Public schools have declared a second snow day for tomorrow... I don't think they've done that in 20 years.
