Two tickets to "Frankenstein" showing in Madison, WI - tomorrow night

Hey, folks in or near Madison!

I have two tickets for tomorrow's (Saturday) afternoon's showing of the National Theatre's "Frankenstein" (Benedict Cumberbatch plays The Creature). They are *great* seats, and they cost $17 each, which is what they cost on the movie theater's website. I was going to take the train from Chicago to see it, and there's just no way in hell I'll be able to complete all of the work I have to do and still make it up there, see it, stay there for the night, and make it back.

Oh, I don't think you should be on the financial hook just because my hopes went up! :D. But maybe you could help boost the signal? The show is at 12:30 tomorrow afternoon, at the Sundance Theatre in Madison.

I went and double checked because your post startled me a bit... The Monday show is at 7:30 and I haven't managed to find a way over there to see it because of the driving back so late on a weeknight - I really wanted to try to see both version.

I started a DM to you earlier in the day asking if you were still coming up. I'm sorry you're not :(

My former student Tom and his wife (he's the public services librarian in the music library there) might have been a good candidate to go, but I think they're out of town. He FB'd something yesterday about driving between states.

If you want, there'll be an opportunity to see it in Chicago as well. It'll be a The Music Box in a few weeks. (http://www.musicboxtheatre.com/collections/national-theatre-live/). I'm actually got the "package" deal to see BC as both the Monster and Frankenstein - I'm expecting good times :)

Yeah, they finally contracted with the Music Box well after I'd bought the tix to the Madison showing, but just like Madison, there's no way I can make the Music Box either - finals week. But thanks anyway!

Oh dear - sorry. Good luck with the Madison tickets. I would think someone has to be interested. I'll ask around with friends up in the area and see if anyone would be.
