1) Thank you, everyone, who responded so kindly to my post last night. I needed to get that out, because it's been bothering me and making me worry for a long time, and your responses have been buoying. I'm sorry I didn't respond to everyone individually--I'll try to today.

2) Dear Google Chrome: There are only two reasons left that you are not my default browser, as much as I'd love for you to be, since you are superior to Firefox in nearly every other way:

a) You do not have native ftp (Firefox's FireFTP is something I use almost daily); and

b) something else Chrome doesn't do but Firefox does, but honest to God I can't remember what it was. Wow. And I knew what it was when I started to compose this post. That's sad. OH! I remember now -- Chrome doesn't support the MacBook Pro's touchpad swipe from bottom to top of page. It'll scroll up and down with two fingers running over the touchpad, but it won't respond to three fingers to go from home to end. Meh.

3) Sherlock is in production for season 2. \o/ Mark Gatiss tweeted "The best and the wisest men whom I have ever known. Sort of." with this photo of today's table read attached to the tweet:

Honestly I have no idea how they do it - Martin *just* flew back from NZ and extremely full days of filming on The Hobbit, since they were doing as much Bilbo filming as possible before he had to go back to London, and Benedict *just* finished that grueling run of Frankenstein....

I know! And yet with their busy lives, they are clearly having no problems picking up right where they left off and making hearteyes at one another, for which I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL.

I want to know how the hell Benedict grew his hair three inches in a week, though. Geez. Never mind; his hair for Frankenstein was gelled up and set so it looked shorter than it actually was.

Yeah, Safari similarly can't cope with the three-finger-swipe, which what and also why. I mean, there's Cmd-and-cursor-arrows, but that doesn't always work.

Adorable! And I think I knew that BC was wearing a wigcap over his hair for the Creature, but I see he's also had to darken his hair again for Sherlock purposes.

Yeah, I knew he was wearing a cap for the Creature, but for some reason I thought his hair was much shorter during the run of the play than it actually was (see photos of him signing autographs after a performance here). I realize now that of course they'd gel it up to fit the period.

And yes, I expect the dye job took place the day after the show closed.

Hee! You linked to my post! *squee* (yes that makes me happy). Also, keep in mind that those pictures were taken the day the play ended (May 1st) so he probably had to have his hair grown out for Sherlock by then. I suspect he may have had it shorter earlier in the run. But I didn't see it then so I don't know for sure.

IKR?!?!? God they just look so damn happy to see each other. It's like the exude glee at being in the same room again! CAN I PLEASE HUG THEM FOREVER????!?!?!?!

OMG Martin is just adorable period. Weird stripey sweaters and all. Humph, why is it so late? I suddenly have the urge to watch all of Sherlock RIGHT NOW! (I'm SO buying the DVD's with my birthday money once it arrives from my dad.).

THEY ARE TRYING TO TORTURE US!!! BTW - if you stumble across any info on where/when they're filming TELL ME! I will try to go and watch if I can. I must take full advantage of living in London right now. Can't promise I won't pass out if they're being adorable though...

I tried my hand at two.

First one, I wanted to get Martin's elbow, because that's such a great pose:




But then I realized that it's not cropped enough to actually make out their expressions well. So I cropped a little tighter. Not sure that this one is an improvement, though.



Better for the faces, but. Needs more elbow.
