As our host says, not shopped! The guy who lives there has a history of doing wacky things like this. In this case he fought the county council in court, and won! Now it's a slightly offbeat Oxfordshire landmark.
Here in Minneapolis, I had to go through an unbelievable amount of rigamorole and drama just to build an addition to my house that would butt up against my garage getting rid of 6 feet of dead space.
