Things to remember when packing, part 1

1) Coffee.

2) Do not get freaked out by all the random detritus in your life and wind up stuck in the "I have no idea how to pack all these important yet obscure pieces of paper / small glass boxes I use for nothing / aliens in soap, or even if I should" brain-freeze; just pack everything you can pack easily (books, tapes, cds, appliances), *then* go through the other, random stuff.

3) If you must pack tools such as screwdrivers and measuring tape, pack them at the very top of a clearly labeled box. You *will* need them at least one more time.

4) Coffee.

I should send you the Move Simple card Bob (ex) made me when I was moving into my last apartment. I was doing things in weird bursts that didn't make sense, like packing up all the spices in the spice rack and taking them to the new place, when I'd need them for cooking in the old place.

So remember Blood Simple, and how the title came from Dashiell Hammet's comment that people always end up proving they're murdererd because killers get "blood simple" and start doing dumbass things? I was move simple.
