Gifts, meme, stupid.

I love to give gifts. I find it enjoyable the way some people find cooking enjoyable, or fishing, or painting, or anything else people do just for their own pure delight. I just love it. Sadly, I am un-wealthy this year because my living expenses went up since the move, I have to buy a new car like, next week, and I am saving up for going to grad school soon. So, those of you who are used to getting gifts from me around this time of year, my apologies - I hope to return to my usual distribution schedule next year. ;)



THREE THINGS THAT SCARE ME
1) our current administration's beliefs, desires, and actions
2) the fact that it seems no one can stop them
3) being up off the ground with nothing to hold on to

THREE THINGS I DON'T UNDERSTAND
1) the appeal of Tom Cruise (stolen from tv_elf because, dude)
2) how an electron can travel from the first shell to the ninth shell without travelling through all the shells in the middle (but I keep trying to understand it every year)
3) people who *don't* want their leaders to be much much smarter than they are

THREE THINGS I'D LIKE TO LEARN
1) to play the standard harp
2) to play the violin
3) more sign language than I already know

1) a brown turtleneck

3) a headband that is not my own (waves at merryish)

1) see my country move to the left by abandoning hatred, ignorant fear, and greed as its motivating forces

Well, if you can get to Minneapolis, you can fly to Rome for $285. This same company can get you there from Chicago fro $715.

Rome is lovely - and cheap.

I actually liked Rome least of all the places I visited in Italy. I'm more interested in returning to Positano, Sorrento, Venice, and Milan...
