I wish I had the wherewithal to post those long, lovely posts wherein the poster gives great insight into why a show succeeds, and why they love it so much.

All I can say is - "Thanks for leaving a message with my father, the Rabbi, saying you want to spend the night with me, building a gun."

Oh, and also, I can say ADAM! LUKE! GRACE! JOAN! AAAAAAAAAAA!

Also? The note. The note. Wow.

I was absolutely sobbing during the reading of the note. I don't think a tv show has ever made me cry like that.

And Grace. I love her more every every week!

Yeah, I really -- I can't believe how much I'm into this show.

I have yet to sit through an episode of that show without crying.

Isn't it *amazing*? I am constantly (pleasantly) surprised by how much I love it.

I am so impressed with the acting and the script writing (even though we all know that people don't talk like they do all the time).

I am impressed too -- I was certain this would be a heavy-handed show, and while it can slip a little on the side of being pat, it is just increasingly wonderful.

And the holding out her hand, and Adam just taking it! aAAAAaaaa.

Also, feathers. It's all good.

What did the note say?

I've never seen Joan of Arcadia. Friday nights, you know?

Eeek -- well, if you've never seen JoA... -- the note was a note that a character's mom had left for him when she committed suicide, three years previous to this. He never could bring himself to open it for fear that it would say something which would indicate that her suicide was his fault. And in this episode he has Joan's mom read the note to him and it's just ... the note said that in her awful, dark life, her son was the only bright thing. It was really movingly done.

Probably my favorite ep so far, though they've all been so wonderful, it's really hard to choose a favorite. Definitely the one that made me cry the most. I loved the Kevin storyline, too. And Will bringing down the whole city. And Helen reading the letter. *sniff*
