I cannot believe how fast the guys at South Park work. This episode mocks Obama supporters and McCain supporters equally, and then takes a completely non-political twist into... let's just say, I'll never think of a certain fan-favorite movie the same way again.

Check it out here. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

And just in case anyone reading hasn't seen this, check out change.gov. I cannot even believe how amazing this site is. Just... amazing. Browse around--you'll find things like this:
Obama will bring democracy and policy directly to the people by requiring his Cabinet officials to have periodic national broadband townhall meetings to discuss issues before their agencies.

Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.

Obama and Biden will create a centralized Internet database of lobbying reports, ethics records, and campaign finance filings in a searchable, sortable and downloadable format.

Obama and Biden believe teachers should not be forced to spend the academic year preparing students to fill in bubbles on standardized tests. He will improve the assessments used to track student progress to measure readiness for college and the workplace and improve student learning in a timely, individualized manner. Obama and Biden will also improve NCLB's accountability system so that we are supporting schools that need improvement, rather than punishing them.

Barack Obama strongly supports the principle of network neutrality to preserve the benefits of open competition on the Internet.
Undoubtedly not all of his agenda will come to pass, but *some* of it will. And we have a President-Elect who *wants* these things, and understands them.

WOW. How is he SO awesome? Seriously, that is the coolest thing I have heard in politics in a long time. Especially the last two! I love him.

I already love this administration SO HARD. It speaks right to my OCD-style "Let's find the most efficient and productive way of getting things done and then DO IT" self.

Dude, NO LIE. I keep waiting to find a catch. Instead it's ripples of awesomeness. Like you're walking along and suddenly it hits you: we'll have a president who isn't going to try to define birth control as abortion!!!

and understands them

And that's the part that keeps killing me dead. It's pretty sad how pathetically grateful I am that we will have a president that doesn't need to have the internet explained to him. [livejournal.com profile] tzikeh, we get to have a president who is a CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLAR!!! Our next Supreme Court justice will be chosen by someone who understands the constitution! (Again, pathetically grateful for this. *sigh* It's been a long 8 years....)

I'm almost sorry I saw that bit about NCLB/state testing. Now I'm going to spend every day holding my breath and waiting for it to actually *happen*.

I can't even deal with how much I'm in love with Obama's brains. (Well, to be entirely fair, Obama and all of his team's brains.)
