psychoses I don't have names for.
Aug. 20th, 2003 02:13 pmUh. So. The clinic doesn't know where the tech who saw Artemis is - he walked out this morning and never came back. He'd just started the job a few weeks ago. Apparently, he was telling some patients that their pets were dying and then giving them medication and scheduling treatments. They discovered this yesterday when he was off and waited til he came in this morning to talk to him - I don't really have the whole story - they're not really telling it, I guess. And now I have to take her BACK because we have no way of knowing if any of the test results are for real. And I can't really take this. Um. So, I'm going to try to process all of the different emotions I'm dealing with right now and I'll be getting back to reality later. Yeah. That sounds like a plan.
And people are suggesting I sue -- I don't know. For 11 years I've taken Artie to this clinic, and they've always been really good except for this - and it was a new guy and they caught on quickly, so... I don't know. I'm waiting and seeing.
So... anyone know a good vet in Chicago?

Date: 2003-08-20 12:45 pm (UTC)I'd say, don't sue. You've been hurt and traumatized by this guy, no doubt, but I wouldn't sue the clinic. There are certain kinds of extraordinary weirdness that, I would guess, are hard to screen for, and this seems to be one. I WOULD demand that they give you answers eventually, but I think it's fair to hang on and give them a chance to get those answers first.
Take Arty back for that second opinion and see what's up. Ten to one she's fine. Amid all my weirded-out-ness, I am relieved that she's probably AOK.
