The West Wing fifth season premiere is tomorrow night.

:jitter jitter:

Will it suck? What if it sucks! Oh, God, it's going to SUCK, isn't it.

Maybe it won't suck...

Shutupshutupshutupshutup I don't want to raise my expectations --

It might not suck...

AAAAAAAAAAAAA! It MIGHT NOT SUCK! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

:jitter jitter:

Clearly, for the next two days, I'm going to be a) twelve and b) nuts. Yeah, looking forward to it. And here I was going to write up this nice essay on either my second viewing of Lost in Translation or an in-depth look at the meaning of the opening title sequence to Carnivale. Wow, so not happening.

Wow. I thought they had just added new people. Who did they take out?

The creator, Aaron Sorkin, who wrote all but 2 of the past 88 episodes, left the series after last season's finale. NBC pushed him out because the budget ran over when he couldn't deliver scripts on time.

Well, that's a shame.

I must say that I have tried to watch West Wing several times and was sucked into the story line and the wonderful characters only to be thrown completely out of it by the stick figure conservatives. This would tick me off in the same way that a really good movie with a crappy ending would tick me off.

I sincerely hope, though, that they do not destroy everything about the show that works in order to fix the one thing that doesn't.

I will be interested to know what you think of the first ep.
