It's Not Looking Good for the Loop House.

So, yeah, it was probably a pipe dream anyway, but I'm not really going to be able to buy my wonderful apartment that I've lived in for seven years. It's going condo, and it's just too much, especially for a first purchase.

I'm pretty emotional about it - I've lived here longer than any other place except my childhood home (which didn't exactly feel warm and loving), so this has really been *my house* for much of my adult life. I'm dismayed to have to move - and I don't think that the roommates will be staying together either, due to various financial, emotional, and life-changing circumstances. But. Life goes on; it's *hardly* the end of the world.

So, who knows what will happen now. Our lease is up Oct. 1. I'm sure y'all will be kept posted.

Sigh.

I think I'm due in on Thursday around 2ish, or so they say, but they mostly lie. I'm filled with trepidation after the stories I heard last year. But you'll be in the thick of things at that point.

Actually, that may work out - because we'll be running up to the hotel Thursday afternoon and it's likely we'll need to make more than one trip - you could come back to the house with us if you're willing to load cars up with DVD players. ;)
