It's Not Looking Good for the Loop House.
Jul. 9th, 2003 08:19 pmSo, yeah, it was probably a pipe dream anyway, but I'm not really going to be able to buy my wonderful apartment that I've lived in for seven years. It's going condo, and it's just too much, especially for a first purchase.
I'm pretty emotional about it - I've lived here longer than any other place except my childhood home (which didn't exactly feel warm and loving), so this has really been *my house* for much of my adult life. I'm dismayed to have to move - and I don't think that the roommates will be staying together either, due to various financial, emotional, and life-changing circumstances. But. Life goes on; it's *hardly* the end of the world.
So, who knows what will happen now. Our lease is up Oct. 1. I'm sure y'all will be kept posted.
Sigh.
